Clifton Green Primary believes that in order to facilitate teaching and learning, good attendance is essential. Pupils cannot achieve their full potential if they do not regularly attend school. Our Attendance Guidelines and Procedures outline our expectations (inline with DfE and LA statutory guidance) and the responsibilities and actions the school and families hold.
The Behaviour Policy outlines the expectations for behaviour at school and the responsibilities and procedures which will be followed.

Clifton Green Primary School is committed to safeguarding and child protection (in line with legislation and DfE statutory guidance) and our approach to managing safeguarding concerns and ensuring that the wellbeing of pupils is set out in the Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.
At Clifton Green Primary School, we greatly value the importance of the Early Years
Foundation Stage (EYFS) in providing a secure starting point for future learning and
development. This policy has been developed in conjunction with the relevant guidance and
legislation to ensure that each child has a positive start to their school life.
The Equality Information and Objectives Policy outlines the range of actions in place to eliminate prejudice, unlawful discrimination and victimisation within the school community and workforce.
Our Online Safety Guidelines and Procedures outline the robust processes, expectations and curriculum we have in place to ensure that pupils, staff, volunteers and governors are kept safe when using technology online.
We want our children to understand how to live a life which is safe and fulfilling and respects everyone in our community. The PSHE and RSE Policy outlines how our school curriculum meets this aim and covers National Curriculum statutory expectations.

Clifton Green Primary School is committed to reducing the barriers to participation in activities and learning experiences for all children. This policy sets out the steps which we will take to ensure full access to learning for all children who have medical needs and are able to attend. The policy reflects the City of York Local Authority guidance (Dec 2019 ‘Guidance for Supporting Children and Young People in Schools With Medical Conditions’).
At Clifton Green Primary we understand that good behaviour and discipline is essential for promoting a high-quality education. We are committed to following all statutory exclusion procedures to ensure that every child receives an education in a safe and caring environment.
