At Clifton Green Primary School:

Our School Ethos:

We prioritise ‘Belonging’ – as a fundamental human need.

We will work to create secure and positive relationships, knowing that they are central to human motivation, wellbeing and ultimately to flourish in life.

We want everyone to know that:  It’s OK to ‘Be yourself ‘

We have adopted Five Character Virtues that will help us to:

Live the Vision – Develop the Ethos – Grow together and Ultimately flourish!

A Character Virtue is a moral strength – an enduring quality of thought and behaviour that benefits the individual and society.

Virtues hold a universal value of what’s morally good – ideal standards and qualities of behaviour and considered to be good for all and essential for psychological development and self-cultivation.

Why focus on school belonging?

Research has highlighted correlations between a sense of school belonging and positive academic, behavioural, and mental health outcomes.
