Year 3 – Camping under Canvas

The camping event will take place on the grounds of St Peter’s, where each class will spend a night engaging in various team building activities. These include setting up and dismantling tents, a walk by the river into town, a campfire and games. It promises to be a real camping adventure for all involved. We do this each year and it is always a roaring success!

Dates:

The dates for the camping experience are as follows:

  • Hawthorn Class: Wednesday 8th July – 9th July 2026

  • Robinia Class: Thursday 9th July – 10th July 2026

Children will walk from school to St. Peter’s at approximately 1:30pm on the start day of their trip, sleep the night in their tent and walk back to school at 11:30am the following day. They will then remain in school until 3:10pm and can be picked up as usual.

Meals:

During the camping trip, a jacket potato dinner and breakfast will be provided for your child. They will have their usual lunch at school on the day they go and the day they come back. If your child usually brings a packed lunch, please ensure they have a packed lunch for both days.

Cost

To cover the costs of the trip, including food, we are asking for a contribution from families of £5 per child. This can be paid on Arbor to confirm your child’s place on the visit.
